Technical Manager (Mechanical)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and submission of Mechanical Services tenders, including reviewing technical specifications, cost estimates and project timelines.
  • Taking charge on Mechanical Services tenders related matters and responsible from tender to pre-contract and post contract administration duties.
  • Prepare tender clarifications, liaise with consultant, attend site visit and tender briefings/meetings.
  • Responsible for interpretation of specifications, compliances, review of tender drawings for any discrepancies and any other relevant document.
  • Conduct detailed technical evaluations of tender documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with tender submissions and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Plan and execute with tender team to achieve KPI.
  • Suggest Value Engineering solution for Mechanical Services, if required, for the tender and project.
  • Assist in the presentation slide, technical write up for tender submission/interview and attendance of tender interview.
  • Involve in project write up such as understanding scope of work, manpower histogram, programs and project schedule using Microsoft Project software.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the decision-making process during tender evaluations.
  • Evaluation of quotations from sub-cons/suppliers according to tender requirement.
  • Provide all calculations in Hydraulic, Pumphead, static pressure heat load.
  • Assist in preparation of shop drawings during construction phase. Review consultant’s comments.
  • Review technical submission in compliance with specifications and code of practice.

Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services with Design & Build knowledge; and able to conduct Engineering Design & Calculations.
  • Candidate with a Professional Engineer Registered with the PE Board will be an added advantage.
  • Min 8-10 years’ working experience in Mechanical Services field.
  • Good knowledge in M&E works, Green Mark requirement, planning capability and authorities / statutory compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Excels, Words, Power Point, Project etc.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Be a self-motivated, confident individual, confident in interacting with all the team members, clients and consultants.
